A Business Legal Review considers an agreed set of priority documents and obligations. We provide a written issues and next-step list within the agreed scope. Implementation, filings, negotiations and disputes are separately scoped.
Ongoing Business Advice
An advisory retainer can cover agreed recurring work within defined limits. Litigation, major transactions and work outside those limits require separate instructions and fee arrangements.
Commercial Disputes & Enforcement
We consider instructions involving commercial disputes, recovery and enforcement in Nigeria. The appropriate steps depend on the documents, parties, forum and facts of the matter.
Assessing an Instruction
We review the proposed matter for conflicts, competence and availability before agreeing the scope and fees. Where appropriate, the first instruction is a defined assessment of the documents and available legal steps.
Scope and Costs
Proceedings, hearings, recovery steps and enforcement work require agreed instructions and remuneration. Disbursements and work outside the initial scope are addressed in the engagement terms. Outcomes and recovery are not guaranteed.
International Counsel / Nigeria Market Entry

Our Nigeria Entry Scoping Review identifies the legal questions and information needed for the proposed business model. Subsequent registration, documentation and regulatory implementation are separately agreed.
